CPA/CEOs Honored

As many of you know, Rufus is Chancellor of Maricopa Community College District, the largest community college district in the United States. He’s also a life member of the ASCPA and a past chair. He’s so respected by our members, that one member immediately celebrated this honor by donating to the CPA Foundation when she heard the news about Rufus.

I met Don, the CEO of Arizona Public Service/Pinnacle West, when we both started serving on the audit committee of a non-profit organization. His intellect, understanding of issues and devotion to the Arizona community was quickly apparent. It is no surprise that Don is being recognized.

Unfortunately I won’t be joining Rufus and Don at the recognition dinner. I’ll be with other CPAs at the Arizona Business Leadership’s Annual Award event where we’ll be learning from, celebrating and honoring Microchip Technology.  While their CEO is not a CPA, I know the CPAs at Microchip contributed a great deal to Microchip’s success.
