The Better Business Bureau of Greater Arizona today issued warnings on two types of scams that have been identified in Arizona. The first scam is targeting homeowners who are having difficulties keeping current with their mortgage payments. Consumers are receiving offers to assist them with mortgage loan modifications and the offers are often “Too good to be true” or the results are guaranteed. Consumers should research the licensing and credentials of any firm offering to perform loan modification assistance. To see the complete BBB article click here –> Loan Modifications
The Better Business Bureau of Greater Arizona also issued a warning to small businesses who receive notification of awards. Though there are many legitimate awards presented to small businesses a number of firms create worthless awards that they offer for a fee. The fee is often requested to pay for the cost of a plaque or to publish the fact that the award has been presented. If anyone can receive the award by making a payment the value of the award is obviously questionable. To see the complete BBB article click here –> Don’t Believe Every Award You Receive
